Tropea Linguata Beach

Linguata, so called due to its tongue (lingua) shape, is located south of the rock where the monastery of Santa Maria dell’Isola rises. The beach reaches a small cave, leading to the larger Palumbaro cave.

The access to the beach is free; it can be reached by either car or walking down one of the three stairways from the old Town – Largo Galluppi, Largo Duomo or Piazza Cannone, or even by boat.

The large, metered parking is located in front of the beach, which is very crowded on July and August thanks to many bathing establishment that offer beach service and also bars and restaurants.
